Donations

The West Lancashire Locomotive Trust is an independent charity. As such it does not receive any regular funding from government, councils or from other funders.

Therefore, we are very grateful for donations from people who wish to support the work of the Trust. These donations make a big difference to what we can achieve in safeguarding our heritage and helping us to bring the restored locomotives into the public domain for a wide range of people to enjoy and appreciate.

Whilst it is difficult for us to work on several projects at once and we prefer to be able to use donations for the work currently in hand, we are willing to earmark donations to specific locomotives if that is the wish of the donor.  

There are several ways you can donate to the West Lancashire Locomotive Trust:

When making a donation, we would encourage you to also use our contact us link and mention the amount of donation, especially if you would like us to earmark the donation to a specific locomotive. This will enable us to thank you individually and to keep you in touch with news on how the money is being used.
